DELIVERY & RETURNS

We offer free UK mainland delivery on all orders over £300. Orders under £300 have a delivery fee of £30. We care about your experience, so we don’t use third-party couriers. Instead, our trained Charles & Ivy delivery team will transport your products with care and place them at your property as you require.

Our stock availability is updated live on our website, so you won’t be surprised by lengthy delivery times when you shop with us. Find full details on our Delivery and returns page.

If you wish to return your items, you must contact us within 14 days of purchase. If the goods require collection, we will collect them from the address to which they were delivered. However, you may be charged a collection fee if you’re returning unwanted products that are not faulty or damaged. Your refund will be processed after the product is returned to our warehouse and thoroughly inspected. We will contact you to arrange a suitable time for collection.

As all made-to-order and bespoke items are manufactured specifically to your requirements, we are unable to offer refunds, exchanges, or accept returns once an order has been placed. However, in the unlikely event of any defects, we will replace the affected parts.

No. Our Crittall-style doors are not fire-rated and should not be installed in any location where acertified fire door is required. If you are unsure whether a fire-rated door is needed, please consult Building Control or a qualified professional before ordering.

Are the doors available in single and double configurations?

Yes. Our Crittall-style doors are available in both single and double configurations, allowing you to select the option that best suits your opening and available space.

What sizes are available?

Our doors
are available within the following dimensions:

Single doors: height 1800mm–2700mm;
width 600mm–1200mm.

Double doors: height 1800mm–2700mm;
width 1200mm–2400mm.

required dimensions fall outside these ranges, please submit a custom enquiry
and our Sales Team will review your requirements.

What frame colours are available?

Black is our standard frame colour. Alternative colours may also be available upon request. Please contact our Sales Team to discuss your preferred colour before ordering.

What glass options are available?

You can choose between clear and fluted glass. Clear glass maximises visibility and creates an open, light-filled appearance, while fluted glass adds texture and provides an increased level of privacy.

Does fluted glass provide complete privacy?

Fluted glass obscures visibility while still allowing natural light to pass between rooms. It provides more privacy than clear glass; however, shapes, silhouettes and movement may still be visible, particularly when there is strong light behind the glass.

Are different handle styles available?

Our doors are supplied with one standard handle option. Alternative handle styles may be available upon request through our Sales Team.

Can I choose which side the hinges are positioned on?

Yes. You can select whether the hinges are positioned on the left or right-hand side to suit the layout of your room.

Can a side panel be added to your doors

Yes side panels can be added to all doors. Please contact our product specialist who will discuss all available options.

Can I request a custom door design?

Yes. Select the custom option during Step 1 of the product builder to access our enquiry form. You can provide details of your required design and upload a supporting image or drawing.

What happens after I submit a custom-door enquiry?

A member of our Sales Team will review your measurements, requirements and any images or drawings you have uploaded. They will then contact you to discuss the design, available options, pricing and next steps.

How should I measure for my Crittall-style door?

Measure the height and width of the opening where the door will be installed.

Measure the opening at several points, as walls and floors may not be completely level or square. Use the smallest dimension for height and width.

Will I receive a technical drawing before my door is manufactured?

Yes. A technical drawing is created for every order. This will show the agreed dimensions and specification of your door and must be reviewed, approved and signed off before production can begin.

What should I check on the technical drawing?

Please carefully check all measurements, dimensions, glass choices, frame details, handle position, hinge position and opening direction. Your door will be manufactured according to the approved technical drawing, so it is important to confirm that every detail is correct before signing it off.

Can I make changes after approving the technical drawing?

Once your technical drawing has been approved and your door has entered production, changes may not be possible. Any changes that can be accommodated may result in additional charges or an extended lead time.

When will my door enter production?

Your door will enter production once you have reviewed, approved and signed off the technical drawing. Production cannot begin until we have received your approval.

What is the delivery lead time?

The estimated delivery time is 8–12 weeks from the date your technical drawing is approved and signed off. Please note that the lead time begins from drawing approval, rather than the original order date.

Is installation included?

No. Our Crittall-style doors are supplied on a supply-only basis, and installation is not included. We recommend arranging installation with a suitably experienced professional to ensure the door is fitted safely and operates correctly.

Do your Crittall-style doors come with a warranty?

Yes. Our Crittall-style doors are covered by a five-year warranty, giving you added peace of mind. Please refer to our warranty terms and conditions for full details of the coverage and any exclusions.

How should I clean my steel door and glass?

Clean the steel frame using a soft cloth and mild soapy water. The glass can be cleaned using a suitable glass cleaner and a clean microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals and solvent-based cleaning products, as these may damage the finish.
